Main Plot Starts Here:

端午节快乐!
Can you drift?

Initial D

The AE86 was roaring on the LA highway. We heard a honk - it was another driver rolling down the window and giving us the 🤙 hand gesture. This is not even my car, but I felt like the richest chick in Cali.

But it’s not about the price. The Toyota was like a long-lost toy. Every crevice on the hood tells a story.

The engine was grunting on every gear change and every pedal. There was the seashore quickly falling behind us. We kept speeding towards the canyon in the front and bypassing other drivers. It was hitting 7:30 pm.

Chasing Sunset
The sun sets faster than us.

The sun was setting. We were chasing the sunset. We were speeding towards the LA sun that dyes the sky into a rich orangely pink. I guess the wheels must be tired, but we could not catch the sun before it fell beneath the horizon. Strokes of gold blended into the night. Warm breezes turned into sharp blasts in late May. Grasps of lingering spring perhaps? We manually rolled up the windows before the night leaked in.

The moon was up, and we were still on the highway.
